The test uses the blood sample and medical information of a person with Diabetes and studies three health parameters using artificial intelligence to assess the risk. The technique was used on 1146 people with Type 2 Diabetes seeking medical care from primary care physicians. The test categorised people into low risk, moderate risk and high-risk categories. After 5 years of follow up, 21 per cent of these participants were diagnosed with declining kidney health. The test was found90 per cent effective in predicting kidney disease risk.
