Golden milk

This delicious drink not only offers warmth during the monsoon season but also boosts immunity as it cures cough and cold, provides relief from sore throat. It is also a natural detoxifier.

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Makes: 1 serving

Ingredients:

  • Low fat milk 1 cup (coconut milk/ almond milk/ rice milk/ soymilk)

  • Turmeric ½ teaspoon

  • Black pepper powder ¼ teaspoon

  • Ghee or coconut oil ¼ teaspoon

  • Cinnamon ¼ inch

  • Grated ginger ½ teaspoon

Method:

  1. Into a pan, add 1 cup milk. Heat the milk.

  2. Once the milk starts to boil, add ½ teaspoon turmeric powder

  3. Add in black pepper powder, cinnamon stick, grated ginger and ghee

  4. Boil and stir for 5 minutes on low to medium flame. Serve hot.
