Horiatiki salad or village salad or Greek salad is a very humble dish that uses fresh and simple ingredients.

Makes: 1 serving
Ingredients
- 
1 tomato, cut into 8 pieces 
- 
1 red onion, thinly sliced 
- 
¼ teaspoon dried oregano e ½ green capsicum 
- 
½ cucumber 
- 
10-12 black olives 
- 
1 teaspoon olive oil 
- 
1 tablespoon width feta cheese block 
- 
Salt, as per taste 
Method
- 
Wash and dry all vegetables 
- 
Cut tomatoes into wedges and add in a bowl. 
- 
Add onion slices and oregano and salt. Mix to combine. 
- 
Add capsicum, cucumber and olives. Mix to combine. 
- 
Just before serving, add the feta cheese block on top and drizzle with olive oil. 
Note: Add tomatoes in room temperature form to encourage the juices to release, give the tomatoes and occasional stir while resting
