A fresh caprese salad is the ultimate summer side dish! You just can't go wrong with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella and basil topped with balsamic. The fresh summer flavors shine through and taste absolutely delicious.

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Makes: 1 serving


  • 2 medium size tomatoes, cut in rounds

  • 10 - 15 basil/ tulsi leaves

  • 10 g mozzarella cheese

    For the vinaigrette

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard

  • Salt to taste

  • A pinch of ground pepper powder


  1. Arrange the chopped tomatoes, cheese and basil leaves on a serving plate or bowl.

  2. Whisk the vinaigrette ingredients together and drizzle over salad.

  3. If require sprinkle with additional salt and pepper.
