Ingredients
. ½ cup rice flakes
. ¼ cup oats
. 3 tbsp roasted peanuts
. 2 tbsp dry moong dal
. 2 tsp oil
. 1-2 red chillies
. 4-5 curry leaves
. ¼ tsp asafoetida
. ¼ tsp cumin seeds powder
. ¼ tsp coriander powder
. Mustard seeds
. Salt to taste
Method
Dry roast the rice flakes till they are crispy but do not let them change colour.
. Roast the oats till they slightly change the colour.
. Heat oil in a kadhai and add mustard seeds. Once they crackle, add moong dal and peanuts. Roast them for 2-3 minutes till moong dal starts to turn reddish.
. Add the curry leaves and red chillies. Roast till the curry leaves and chillies are crispy.
. Add asafoetida and roast the entire mix for a few seconds.
. Add coriander and cumin powder. Now add roasted rice flakes and oats. Add salt.
. Mix tills the rice flakes and oats are well coated with the spices. Cool and store in an airtight container.
