Mushroom Omelette

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Serving size: Makes 1 serving


  • 3 eggs
  • 30 g butter, for frying
  • 30 g (60 ml) shredded cheese
  • 1/4 onion
  • 3 mushrooms
  • Salt and pepper


  1. Crack the eggs into a mixing bowl with a pinch of salt and pepper. Whisk the eggs with a fork until smooth and frothy.
  2. Melt butter in a frying pan. Once the butter has melted, pour in the egg mixture.
  3. When the omelette begins to cook and gets firm sprinkle cheese, mushrooms and onion on top.
  4. When it starts to turn golden brown underneath, carefully ease around the edges of the omelette with a spatula and then fold it over in half.
  5. Remove the pan from the heat and slide the omelette on to a plate.
