Baked Masala Peanuts

Preparation Time: 5 minutes Baking Time: 30 minutes Makes 2 servings

Ingredients
  • 2 cups raw peanuts with their skin on
  • 4 tablespoon gram flour (besan)
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon or more of chilli powder (depending upon preferred spice level)
  • ¼ teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • A few curry leaves
  • Salt, as per taste
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder or ginger- garlic paste (optional)
Method
  1. Mix all the ingredients in a big bowl along with a little water. The mixture should be a little thick and not too
  2. Spread them out on a greased baking sheet and bake them at 350-degree F for 30 minutes, mixing them around every 10 minutes to aid in even
  3. At the end of 20 minutes keep an eye on the peanuts as they may bake quickly and get burnt.
  4. Remove them from the oven earlier if you feel that the peanuts have been adequately baked.
  5. Store in an air tight
