Mango Iced Tea

Mango iced tea is a refreshing drink to cool you off on a hot summer’s day. Instead of expensive pre- packaged iced teas, you can make mango iced tea at home using fresh mango puree.

Preparation time: 30 minutes

Cooking time: 5 minutes

Makes: 6 servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe mangoes

  • 4 cup of water

  • 2 teaspoon black tea

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice or according to taste

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • Ice cubes

  • Mint leaves for garnishing

Method:

  1. Peel and chop the mangoes. Puree them in a blender and refrigerate.

  2. Boil water. Turn off flame. Add the black tea and stir.

  3. Cover and keep it aside for 10 min. Strain the tea and keep the tea in the fridge.

  4. Once the tea is cooled, combine tea, mango puree, lemon juice and honey.

  5. Blend them till smooth.

  6. Add ice cubes till a quarter of a glass. Pour the prepared mango iced tea.

  7. Garnish it with mint leaves. Serve chilled.
