Chocolate Walnut Brownie

Chocolate walnut brownies tempt both children and adults alike. The mild smell of freshly baked brownies and chocolate can make anyone irresistible to eat them. Also, walnuts are a good source of healthy fats and are a power food to the heart and the brain. Chocolate walnut brownies can be enjoyed in moderation with hot milk, black coffee or can be consumed as it is.

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Cooking time: 50 minutes

Makes: 6 Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup curd
  • ½ cup skimmed milk powder
  • ½ cup cooking oil
  • 1 cup artificial sweetener
  • 1 ½ cup wheat flour
  • 1 ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 12-14 pieces walnut halves

Method:

  1. Mix curd, cooking oil and skim milk powder.
  2. Add wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder, cocoa powder and vanilla essence.
  3. Add milk to achieve required consistency. Add artificial sweetener and mix properly.
  4. Take a baking dish 6” by 6”. Grease it with oil and dust some wheat flour.
  5. Pour the mixture in it. Crush walnut halves with hands and sprinkle it all over the batter.
  6. Place the dish in a preheated oven at 150 degrees Celsius and bake for 40-50 minutes.
  7. Let the preparation cool. Cut it into 6 equal pieces.
