A popular street food of today, chicken momos is a favourite snack option amongst people of all ages. With minimal preparation, this hot delicacy can be enjoyed in moderation with tomato sauce or with hot clear soup.

Makes: 10 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of refined wheat flour (maida)
For chicken filling
- 5 cup minced chicken
- 3 spring onions chopped
- 8-9 cloves of chopped garlic
- A small piece of finely chopped ginger
- 2 chopped green chillies
- ¼ tsp black pepper powder
- 2-3 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tbs oil
- Salt as per taste
Method:
- In a bowl, mix minced chicken, spring onions, garlic, ginger, green chillies, pepper and soya sauce and keep the mixture aside.
- Knead the refined flour by adding salt and oil. Make soft dough by adding sufficient water to it. Cover and keep it aside for some time.
- Take a piece of dough about the size of a golf ball and roll it out to about 4 inches. To this add one heaped spoon of prepared chicken mixture. Wet the edges and bring it together to the centre to close the dumplings.
- Steam the momos for 20-25 min and serve it with tomato garlic sauce or chilli sauce.
